What are we learning this week?
- Math - Topic 14 – Multiplying Greater Numbers = using mental math, estimating products, arrays, decomposing
- Language Arts - Story: A Castle on Viola Street, Genre: Fiction, Skill: Theme, Grammar: Combining Sentences: Subject and Predicate Nouns
- Writing – Informative, Expository
- Cursive - Uppercase alphabet – almost complete, Students have already started writing their homework in cursive.
- Vocabulary – project, appliances, owners, construction, equipment, leaky
- Science/Social Studies/Health - Monday 11/3, Wednesday 11/5, and Thursday 11/6

- • My training has been cancelled. There will be no substitute teacher on Monday, November 3rd.
• There is a Social Studies test this week. Group 1’s test is on 11/3, Group 2’s test is on 11/6, and Group 3’s test is on 11/5.

- Thank you to Marley’s mom, Jaime’s mom, Max’s mom, Luke’s mom, Micah’s mom and Kyle’s mom for volunteering and making our Day of the Dead Celebration and Halloween Celebration a success. We had a great time!!!!
- Parent Conferences – Conferences are scheduled for 11/10, 11/12, 11/13, and 11/14. Notices will be sent home to schedule your day/time. If you are unable to attend your scheduled time, call Nora at 323-225-8320 to reschedule. She will have my calendar.
- Science Test – All students, regardless of what group you are in, will take the science test on 11/14. Study guides will go home the week of 11/3.
